Securitize and Mantle Launch MI4 Crypto Fund — “The S&P 500 of Crypto”

New Crypto Fund MI4: How to Profit from Bitcoin and Beyond

From the author — Personally, I don’t need this, but the upside with firms like these is that they’re official and fully licensed. Different funds or even oligarchs might jump in. Everything is transparent here, and you know exactly who’s responsible and where your money is going.

New Crypto Fund MI4: How to Earn with Bitcoin and More

From the author — Personally, I don’t need this, but the good thing about these kinds of companies is that they are official and could attract funds and even billionaires. Everything is transparent here — you know exactly who’s responsible and who you’re trusting your money with.

Securitize and Mantle have teamed up to launch a major investment fund called Mantle Index Four (MI4). It’s like a basket of different cryptocurrencies that helps you make money without getting deep into the complicated crypto market. Imagine buying shares in multiple companies at once, but here instead of stocks, it’s Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and stablecoins (digital dollars that don’t fluctuate in price).

What is MI4 and how does it work?

MI4 is a fund designed for big investors (banks, institutions, wealthy individuals) who want to get exposure to crypto without picking coins themselves. It’s similar to the S&P 500 — a famous index that includes America’s top companies. MI4 gathers major crypto assets: Bitcoin (50%), Ethereum (26.5%), Solana (8.5%), and stablecoins (15%). The proportions adjust based on market movements, and the fund rebalances every quarter to stay fair.

But it’s not just “buy and hold”! MI4 also includes staking tokens like mETH from Mantle, bbSOL from Bybit, and USDe from Ethena. It’s like putting money into a savings account that earns interest. For example, mETH gives around 3.78% annually. According to DefiLlama, over $680 million is already locked in the Mantle ecosystem — showing strong popularity.

Why is this interesting?

– Easy and secure: You don’t need to buy crypto or manage wallets yourself. MI4 handles everything, while Securitize ensures full transparency. They tokenize fund shares (turn them into blockchain assets), meaning you can sell or use them as collateral anytime.
– Risk management: Crypto is like a roller coaster, but MI4 smooths out the ride by diversifying across several assets. Plus, Mantle injected $400 million into the fund — a major show of confidence. It’s Securitize’s biggest tokenized fund so far, beating their previous $148M record.
– Earning through DeFi: MI4 taps into decentralized finance (DeFi) to maximize returns — staking rewards, yield farming, and more through platforms like the Mantle Network, which is fast and cheap.
– Crypto as protection: In today’s world of inflation, rate hikes, and trade wars, Bitcoin and other cryptos are increasingly seen as “digital gold.” MI4 gives an easy way to access this market without hassle.

Who’s behind it?

Securitize acts as a bridge between traditional finance and crypto. They’re leaders in tokenization (controlling 71% of the market!) and already work with giants like BlackRock. Their BUIDL fund manages $2.5 billion, and MI4 is another step toward making crypto mainstream.

Mantle is a blockchain ecosystem simplifying access to DeFi. They have over $3 billion locked in their projects and want MI4 to become the “gold standard” for crypto investing.

Why now?

The crypto market is booming: Bitcoin recently hit almost $84,500, and Solana jumped 6% in a single day. Everyone from small investors to massive funds is rushing into crypto to hedge against economic uncertainty. MI4 is a ready-made solution — no need to monitor news or pick coins; everything’s managed for you. Plus, it runs on the Mantle Network, which offers fast and cheap transactions — a crucial factor for large transfers.

What are they saying?

Timothy Chen, strategist at Mantle, called MI4 “a simple solution for those who want to profit from crypto without the hassle.” Carlos Domingo from Securitize added that funds like this are the future — offering flexibility, income, and access even for conservative investors. He noted that demand for tokenized funds is growing because they’re simpler and cheaper to manage.

Who is it for?

MI4 is made for institutions — banks, hedge funds, family offices. But through partners like Securitize, even regular investors can join if they meet the minimum amount (usually $5,000 to $5 million). It’s a way to step into crypto with lower risks and strong backing.
