Vitalik Congratulates Starknet
Starknet has officially entered Stage 1 — and Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin noticed.
This major milestone means Starknet is now more secure, more decentralized, and one step closer to full Ethereum-level trust. Vitalik himself praised the progress:
“Congrats to Starknet for reaching Stage 1! A huge step for the Ethereum rollup ecosystem.”
What Is Stage 1?
Ethereum categorizes rollup development into 3 key stages:

Stage 0 – Centralized launch, minimal security.

Stage 1 – Partial decentralization + working escape hatch.

Starknet reaching Stage 1 means:

Why This Matters
Ethereum is scaling through rollups, and Starknet is one of the leading zk-rollup solutions.
